Call Competition for the Position of the Director of the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute
We invite you to participate in the competition for the position of Director of the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute. Documents can be submitted no later than 5 March 2025 (inclusive).
We hope that the new leader will be able to effectively lead the LCRI's community and ensure the financial and organisational stability of the Institute. The head of the Institute should represent the Institute at the national and international level, promote collaboration and innovation in Lithuanian culture research, create an environment conducive to research, and uphold high ethical and transparent standards.

As the head of the Institute, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the research, preservation and dissemination of Lithuanian culture and heritage by promoting public awareness of the national cultural identity.
You will be involved in strategic cultural issues by contributing to the development of the national cultural policy. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the training of young scientists and researchers by encouraging new generations to take an interest in cultural studies and contribute to the development of the field.
You will be able to create a space that fosters creativity, intellectual debate and innovative approaches to cultural research by enabling researchers to discover new perspectives and unexpected solutions to complex issues of cultural development.
Information about the institution
The Lithuanian Culture Research Institute (LCRI) is a state research institute, a public legal person carrying out long-term research and experimental development in the fields of interest to the state, society or economic entities, as defined in its articles of association, with a status of particular national significance.
The LCRI employs 99 employees. In 2024, the budget of the LCRI was EUR 3,3 million.
