Information about the institution

The Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry is a public research institute.

The strategic objective of the Centre is to carry out research and experimental development in the fields of agronomy and forestry, and related fields of ecology and environmental science, biology, biophysics, botany and zoology.

The Centre carries out research and runs various scientific programmes and projects. Researchers participate in national and international projects funded by HORIZON EUROPE, HORIZON 2020, European Territorial Co-operation and other EU programmes.

Breeding programmes for major field crops, garden, pome, stone and berry fruit crops are conducted.
