Availability of Vocational Education Programs for Foreign Citizens

Vocational education programs are available to foreign nationals who have the right to reside in Lithuania, either temporarily or permanently. Individuals without a valid residence permit in Lithuania are not eligible for state-funded study places.

Admission to vocational education programs is centralized and takes place within the deadlines set by the Minister of Education, Science, and Sport. The centralized admission process is conducted by the Public Institution “Mokausi Lietuvoje”, and information regarding the admission procedures can be found on their website.

Admission Requirements and Necessary Documents

Applicants must meet the specific requirements of their chosen program, which may include a certain level of education (lower or upper secondary education) or, in exceptional cases, a specific qualification.

The following documents must be submitted during the admission process:

  1. A certificate of recognition of foreign qualifications, along with academic transcripts or their copies.
  2. A document or digital certificate confirming the applicant's right to reside in the Republic of Lithuania (temporarily or permanently), or copies of such documents.

Language of Instruction and Language Support

Instruction in vocational education programs is conducted in the official state language of Lithuania: Lithuanian.
According to legal provisions, educational support, including language learning, may be provided to young individuals under the age of 21.
