Call for Position of Director of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences

Candidates are invited to apply for the position of director of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences. Documents can be submitted no later than 14 December 2024 (inclusive).

The new leader is expected to strengthen the position of the LCSS in the international academic community and promote closer and more active cooperation of its units among them and with stakeholders, in order to creatively, innovatively and effectively, with the help of scientific knowledge, deal with the problems relevant to the country and the society and to adequately prepare for the social challenges that may arise in the future.

The LCSS employs 141 people, most of whom are high-level researchers engaged in research and development activities. In 2023, the LCSS had a budget of nearly €5 million.

The director's salary is €6,900.00 before tax. Financial incentives are available depending on performance.
